VP Information Technology at Natera San Carlos, CA

The Vice President, Information Technology is responsible for ensuring the alignment of the Enterprise Information Systems with the business strategies, priorities, and operational processes.
This includes but is not limited to all business applications, cloud, and Internal Infrastructure, user support technologies and services, software development, and support.
POSITION SUMMARYThe VP IT manages the following departments and functions:
DevOps:
Linux, Cloud, Storage, and Infra environment design and support for 800
serversWinOps and Business Automation:
All Microsoft backend and services (AD, SCCM, etc), Identity Management Systems (I.
e.
Okta), and Business Automation Apps (Confluence, Jira, etc).
Physical security, surveillance, and IT/facilities services (structured wiring, Datacenters, etc.
)User Services:
Helpdesk, user onboarding/offboarding.
User equipment management.
Business Systems:
Quote2Cash and general business applications (ERP, PLM, LMS, HRIS, etc.
) Data Warehouse:
Snowflake EDW and related ETL toolsCybersecurity and Application Development Security:
NIST-CSF, ISO27000 based framework, and capabilities.
Monitoring, Detection, Response, Risk Assessment, and ReportingThe VP IT will have the ability to quickly build successful, collaborative relationships with executives, clients, peers, subordinates, and vendors.
Demonstrate superior presentation and communication skills to effectively convey strategic and operational goals, and to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersProvide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising, rewarding, developing, and succession planning.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Work with the executive team to define the strategic direction of IT and provide the management, leadership, and executive oversight for the IT functions, systems, initiatives, and programs to achieve the defined strategy.
Work with business and functional leaders to understand their current and future needs and opportunities, and consequently identify and implement successful, cost-effective, and scalable IT solutions.
Establish IT policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources, with appropriate focus on risk management and disaster recovery.
Plan and manage the IT budget and establish metrics to gauge internal performance and customer service to the rest of the organization.
Manage all external IT vendor relationships including staffing, product service agreements, and consultative services.
This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
The employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies, and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
Must maintain current status on Company training requirements.
The employee must pass a post-offer criminal background check Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
15 years of global enterprise IT management experience.
Experience in a large biotechnology or high-tech organization preferable.
Experience working with executives and diverse stakeholder community.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Have a comprehensive understanding of Company's business sector and the IT business climate to make a substantive contribution to the development of a strategic plan that facilitates sustainable, consistent opportunity for growth and financial performance.
Proven ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology, applications, information, and communications systems and operations.
Demonstrated experience implementing and integrating information technology initiatives and leading effective, cohesive teams in diverse organizations with multiple sites.

Duties typically performed in an office setting.

Requires the ability to read and understand legal, financial, and scientific documents, laws, and other technical and legal written materials.
Requires use of computer, phone, and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
