MarkLogic is looking for a Technical Writer who can create technical content and code examples. The MarkLogic documentation team is responsible for all content on docs.marklogic.com. As part of the Engineering organization, the team actively participates in product development. Team members develop content that helps customers and partners create data applications on the MarkLogic platform. Most of our readers are developers and system administrators, working in JavaScript, Java, XQuery, and other languages. Typical MarkLogic applications include advanced search and analytic features. Specific Responsibilities: -          Write developer documentation for MarkLogic Server, including explanations of complex developer tasks -          Write server and client API documentation, including development of code samples in JavaScript, Java, XQuery, REST, and/or other technologies -          Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to understand the technology and provide usability feedback -          Plan, schedule, and complete complex documentation projects -          Work closely with the product, becoming a subject matter expert on assigned features -          Bring a customer and developer perspective to the product development process by participating in design and QA reviews -          Create clear conceptual, procedural, and API reference documentation Must Have: -          6+ years of experience documenting enterprise software -          Experience writing documentation from scratch -          Keen interest in technology, eager to learn new technologies and new programming languages -          The ability to be a self-starter and to take a project and run with it -          Very strong computer skills, experience using both UNIX OS and Windows OS; command line skills/scripting -          Strong understanding and background in web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, REST, and so on) -          Experience working with engineers -          Excellent writing and editing skills   Nice to Have: -          XML knowledge and experience -          Programming experience, particularly web programming -          JavaScript experience, including Node.js -          Database experience highly desirable -          Search engine experience -          Familiarity with JSON -          Java experience -          XQuery, XPath, and/or XSLT experience -          Experience with FrameMaker and/or other popular technical writing tools -          Python experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
