JOB OVERVIEW

We are excited to add a Human Resource Manager to our growing HR team. A successful candidate will be hard-working, highly ethical, and able to think and act both strategically and independently. This position operates in a fast-paced environment and must be able to support FBN team members through effective communication and a solution focused approach.

This is a people-facing role where timely and accurate communications with employees is a must. Your role interfaces with employees beginning at offer extension and through all subsequent stages thereafter. You are joining a growing team and you will have the opportunity to help build programs and processes from the ground up.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a resource and advisor for management and employees by building professional relationships and supporting FBNs values and culture.
  • Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to cover risks.
  • Responsible for performance management activities by proactively addressing and responding to organizational development issues by assessing performance gaps, and implementing appropriate interventions (verbal counseling, PIPs, final warnings, etc.).
  • Responsible for all employee relations activities including, but not limited to: conflict resolution, maintaining strong connections with the workforce, and conducting workplace investigations (including Members and Employees) relating to harassment, discrimination, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
  • Recommend changes to help improve employee retention, safety, and company culture.
  • Create and send offer letters, complete various onboarding tasks, and conduct benefits orientation/administration of newly hired staff.
  • Work with external vendors on implementation of various programs.
  • Maintain certifications/licensure and ensure employee personnel files and records are up to date.
  • Complete payroll/departmental changes related to internal mobility.
  • Enter workers compensation claims and complete necessary safety follow up.
  • Prepare various letters, contracts, and other pieces of documentation.
  • Run background/MVR checks and review results regularly.
  • Administer leaves of absences.
  • Maintain and revise FBNs policies, procedures, and handbook.
  • Conduct audits and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with development of training programs.
  • Answer manager and employee human resources inquiries.
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, conduct offboarding and exit interviews for employees leaving the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations and consistency with standard operating procedures.
  • Act as a strategic partner to managers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related major
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources
  • Experience in employee relations including but not limited to onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding
  • Familiarity with human resource procedures, standards, employment law compliance and government regulations
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, and possess a strong ability to educate, influence, and persuade.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to prioritize while working in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work with persons of diverse backgrounds and interests.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
