Job Description: Direct the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new products. Oversee the development of software and software tools used for design, infrastructure, and platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, and databases. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Lead and manage project teams of Software Engineers. Participate in and lead architecture design and code reviews. Manage direction and development of technological component. Design and deliver on project schedule. Extend, improve, and maintain a lightweight, flexible product life cycle. Investigate new technologies which contribute to the development of products. Interact with other teams: Quality Assurance, Marketing, Support, and Product Management. Work with Technical Documentation to develop and deliver product documentation, training, tutorials, and developer support materials.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. 3 years of project management experience;
2. Management of teams of at least 5 engineers;
3. Experience on multiple and diverse software and web development projects;
4. Professional working knowledge of relevant technologies and languages, including: C/C++, Java, Win32, COM/DCOM, TCP/IP, HTTP, XML, and Oracle 8i/9i;
5. Demonstrated technical writing and technical presentation skills;
6. Experience gathering and defining technical requirements;
7. Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming;
8. Experience with client/server and multi-tier applications development; and
9. Android/Linux professional working knowledge.
