IC Validation Test Technician

Efabless is a creator community platform providing a complete solution for design, implementation, test and fabrication of integrated circuits (IC's) utilizing automated design flows and allowing users to select from a range of open-source and commercial tools and IP.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Electronics Technician to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This is a part-time contract position with the opportunity for future full employment.
The position requires on-site presence in our facility in San Carlos, CA.
Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical and functional testing of IC prototypes and PCBA assemblies using a variety of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test equipment (ATE).
Set up and operate automated test equipment (ATE) to execute predefined test plans.
Analyze test results to identify potential defects and failures in the IC design.
Document test procedures, findings, and root cause analysis of failures.
Collaborate with design engineers and other team members to resolve identified issues and improve test methodologies.
Support final test and shipment of prototype IC parts to end-customers.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper handling and storage of test equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in IC testing or a related field.
Proficient in working with automated test equipment (ATE) and test software.
Strong understanding of digital electronics and semiconductor principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
