Our client is looking for a Thermal Test Engineer who will be responsible for leading the testing activities for propulsion systems and will work closely with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to ensure that the system's performance, reliability, and environmental conditions are properly characterized and validated.
Requirements:
You have 3
years experience as a Propulsion or Thermal Test Engineer who has experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, NI DAQ systems, power supplies and analyzers.
RequirementsCore responsibilities Lead and manage overall testing activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute testing required to refine environmental control systems/components (refrigeration systems, cabin air distribution modules, and electronic ventilation/cooling systems) Work closely with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to understand testing needs, milestones, and deliverables.
Develop and release test procedures for development, acceptance, qualification, and certification testing for powertrain and electronics systems/components, Coordinate with reliability test engineers to define test profiles to demonstrate system and component reliability.
Develop test stand requirements and work with the equipment design team to ensure that test capabilities are available to support the product development.
Procure test enabling support hardware.
Develop LabView/Python scripts for test automation and data collection, and assist technicians in test setups and execution (test platforms, shakers, test benches, chambers) Conduct failure and root cause analysis of subsystems and components used in powertrain and electronics systems, based on validation, reliability, and/or field testing.
