We are looking for a Manager, Indirect Procurement supporting our Indirect spend.
You will lead the team responsible for negotiating contracts, analyzing commercial terms, and optimize pricing across an all categories of indirect spend.
You'll work with Strategic Sourcing Managers on your team to develop category strategies and leverage market intelligence to develop alternative sources.
You'll have experience in best-practice procurement methods, and work to build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, influence and align roadmaps, and cultivate vendor partnerships.
You will work closely with a variety of cross-functional internal teams.
You are someone who is a self-starter and comfortable working with limited direction while taking full ownership of your domain.
You are an effective and passionate problem-solver, who recommends pragmatic alternatives and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and high growth environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain internal stakeholder relationships to create strategic sourcing models that optimize the value of necessary goods and services purchases Conduct research, perform benchmarking, and gather market analysis for indirect categories to develop short and long-term strategic plans Craft negotiation strategies for the indirect procurement team to execute favorable terms and conditions, identify cost improvement opportunities, and support internal stakeholders in operating with the supply base efficiently Establish & report out on KPIs that support company goals and objectives Provide category expertise to the indirect team and internal stakeholders to encourage industry best practices and proactively managing commercial risk Align with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, People, Legal, Security/Safety) on indirect spend categories to identify opportunities, strengthen the supply base, and plan for budget and savings pipelines People manager and coach to the Strategic Sourcing team and the Procurement Operations team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related field 5
years in purchasing, buying, or procurement Demonstrated experience making data-driven decisions with incomplete information Excellent customer service skills and ability to partner with key stakeholders and build relationships across multi-functional teams Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, Smartsheet, or similar analytical tools PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration Previous work in a start-up environment Self-starting, entrepreneurial, scrappy, resourceful, problem-solver with a strong work ethic and integrity Strong financial and analytical skills, supporting identification of cost savings opportunities and recommendations COMPENSATION &
Benefits:
Electric Hydrogen has three compensation zones:
The San Carlos Zone, the Natick Zone, and the National Zone.
All employees are assigned to a compensation zone depending on their work location.
Remote employees will be assigned a compensation zone once their work location is determined.
This can be discussed with your recruiter.
San Carlos Zone Manager, Indirect Procurement:
$142,000 - $189,000 per year Natick Zone Manager, Indirect Procurement:
$121,000 - $161,000 per year National Zone Manager, Indirect Procurement:
$109,000 - $145,000 per year Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen's total rewards package.
