ABOUT RISK MANAGEMENT @ OPORTUN We are growing our world-class team of mission-driven risk managers who are passionate about broadening financial inclusion by untapping insights from alternative data. Be part of the team responsible for developing and running Oportun's marketing optimization platform that leverage Oportun's core intellectual property for scoring risk for underserved consumers that often lack a traditional credit score or are mis-scored by traditional credit bureaus. In this role you will be working with large and diverse alternative data sets and machine learning to execute multi-product and multi-channel marketing programs. You will also drive growth and optimize marketing spend across multiple products and channels by leveraging alternative data to help predict which consumers would likely be interested in one of Oportun's affordable, credit building lending products. Overview The Sr. Manager/Director of Risk Management helps manage credit policy and risk performance for Oportun's Installment loan and Secured Auto products. This role supports improving Oportun's core intellectual property leveraged in risk decisioning for underserved consumers that often lack a traditional credit bureau score. This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced organization where your contributions can have a meaningful impact on increasing access to Oportun's affordable, credit building loan product for consumers with little or no credit history. Responsibilities Develop and enhance credit strategy to support the Oportun's Secured and Unsecured Personal Loan products Develop and maintain valuation frameworks to determine profitability at the margin. Recommend changes to risk strategies to maximize profitability and ensure required return on capital for all risk segments Design and implement new tests to determine optimal loan size amount and term by risk segment. Optimize NPV of loan amount assignment strategy given a set of constraints and assumptions. Work closely with Capital Markets and Finance in Securitizations, funding exercises and portfolio projections. Closely monitor the credit performance of Oportun's loan portfolio adjusting risk strategies to ensure desired loss rates Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or other analytical discipline 6
years of experience in an analytic role, preferably in the financial services industry. (Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline is a plus) Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to maintain the highest standard of integrity, accuracy and precision Solid Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Foundational knowledge and understanding of statistical concepts Strong SQL/SAS skills and experience with other programming language a plus (R, Python, STATA, Matlab, etc) Excellent written and oral communication skills (Spanish language is a plus) A relentless problem solver and out of the box thinker in finding ways to improve strategies and processes Smart, dedicated, compassionate, hungry, fun, and generally awesome personality #LI-DH1 #LI-RemCompany Overview ABOUT OPORTUN Oportun (Nasdaq:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
